Ok, the camera perspective is really cool, and I love speed shots like that. But enough with the friggin cartoon graphics, etc... What's next for FOX and cameras?? Next year they will call the cable cam above the field during NFL games the Underdog cam and there will be this cartoon Underdog flying around on the field. Hey, FOX??? STFU!!!!
Overplaying a shitty quality image over and over sucks. I'd much rather see the regular old work and if your digger cam catches something cool, by all means, play it again and again.
As of this writing, I am at lap 166 of the Atlanta race. I honestly think I have not seen it as often today as in the past races. I hope this is a trend and the new little fad camera is wearing off. Or, maybe, people like me are bitching about it enough and FOX is listening. I doubt it. This Atlanta race is a mover!! They are flying through this race!!

I agree. "Digger" needs to to take a hike! This is just as bad as the robots with the NFL on FOX
No!! Digger is fine! My kids like seeing him. Makes the race fun to watch and adds to the program like "Crank It Up! does! In fact we wished there were more "Crank It Up" sessions! They could show Digger turning up the volume!
Its just marketing and its a clever idea too.

I like the "Digger Cam" views, but I dislike all the animation and the hoopla about it. It is irritating and distracting to me. Did you notice in yesterday's race from Fontana, when the "Digger Cam" view was used, the image of Digger was a still shot, and not animated. That reduced the distraction for me.
Hey Richard! Yeah, i too love the view, but the whole animated deal is a bit much. I have to be honest, was watching the race on and off and didn't really notice much of Digger... I did see at one time they had a whole family of Diggers. Damn! I can see it now, a turn 1 digger, a turn 2 digger, etc... I am grateful that FOX is only on half the year. Between kissing Junior's backside, the Hollywood Hotel (Chris Meyers), and Digger, I can't get to TNT/NBC fast enough! haha

I think Digger is the ultimate and final tool in the pussification of nascar. They took tobacco out of it. They took the south out of it and the damn races start later and later every year. If the channel guide show the race to start at 1:00, why is it at least one hour before they drop the green flag? There's plenty of pre-race footage that starts on Friday. Shut up and show the race.
Not one single person I know likes the Digger crap! Ditch the stupid road kill cartoon and get back to the race already! While my wife and I watch the race, the kids are in the other room watching Nogin! Leave the cartoons there!

I have to disagree with your statement. Digger is not representative of NASCAR. Digger is not a presentation of the history and all the great champions who we are "fans" of. Digger is a marketing tool of FOX. You have succumb to the FOX gimmick! You are associating a rodent cartoon with being a fan of the sport.
Now go get your ass back in the kitchen and make your husband some food before he chains you to the sofa and forces you to watch tonight's race. While chained to the sofa, tell yourself that everything is ok, allow yourself to drift off into fantasy land where you and digger are happy and you are free of the tyrant that forces you to watch NASCAR. :)
Have you ever thought of the "RIB" NASCAR and FOX is getting on the fans, come on "Digger Cam" and the "Digger Rig" at the races....Think about it!!!
